Week 3 weigh in and changes
At least it’s going in the right direction … down …..
How I ‘used to’ say ‘It isn’t even a pound’ (in a sad and forlorn tone),
I now say ‘IT’S ALMOST A POUND’!!!!!!! (in a happy and joyous tone).
Always look at the positives. Even if you don’t lose any weight or sometimes put a little on you HAVE to look at the positive steps you are making with your new healthier outlook on life.
…And it’s not all about losing the pounds…… It’s about how you feel and your outlook on life, your life. It’s about getting the right balance in life.
I am fat, overweight and unhealthy because I shovel more into my mouth than I expend in energy, that’s it, it’s that simple.
Going hell for leather at something may give you quick results but in the main they will be short gained. Slow, steady, sensible will get you there and KEEP YOU THERE.
Tortoise and the Hare!
You may think I say slow and steady because of a less than pound loss this week but no … I have learnt a lot over the years. Fitness training to peak for an event, to pile it all on again after the novelty of that activity wares off then feeling bad and unfit, going hell for leather at it again. I think a lot of us are guilty of this.
I’m making small changes every day
I do have an addiction to eggs…. Great! They’re good for you … but mine swim breath stroke across the pan in olive oil …not so good! (or should I say they did!)
I have changed: still have to have my fried eggs but now only have them about 5 out of 7 mornings a week and they now paddle (rather than swim) in coconut oil which is better than olive oil so I have read (and no I don’t believe everything I read).
Next step … gradually replace fried with poached eggs.
Went to my first exercise class last night. Can’t remember when I last did one of those. Images and exercise blog to follow as soon as I have images.
