It’s Sport Relief time!!! Yippeee!!!
And this year instead of donating from the comfort of the sofa I will be joining in! Well it is my ‘year of fitness’!!
My #cycling #mentor and team mate is 6 year old Summer who doesn’t want to cycle, she ‘wants to run because she’s good at that’ (her words).
Being the thoughtful and conscientious person I am I … conned her…. into cycling and do you know, bless her cotton cycling socks she tutted once and then was IN!!! Good on her.
She can’t ride a bike, YET! And we have just had a very fraught couple of days with a big toy shop in #Wakefield (the toys that are not for us shop) but after getting a well fought refund on her ‘new’ bike, zoomed off to Smyths Toys Superstores where we were fitted up in no time and one extremely happy 6year old came out of the shop READY TO RIDE!!!!
They even let us take our #sportrelief profile picture in the store so we could post this tonight. Thank you guys for your help!!
Summers challenge: To learn to ride her bike WITHOUT STABLISERS and complete one lap of Pugneys Watersports Centre & Country Park on 20th March.
My challenge: To ride 36mile Wheel of Wakefield and then join Summer to do one lap of Pugneys on 20th March.

If anyone would like to join us message me and let me know your interest.
Start time to be confirmed but initial thoughts are:
Wheel of Wakefield start from Pugneys at 9am
Pugneys Park Lap start time 1pm
Summer & Jo Team Cycle LINKs to our Sport Relief Fund Raising page.

Pugney’s Country Park LINK
We would love your support.
I would love you to support Summer if you can and donate a little something to her challenge and your messages of support will go a long, long way to encouraging her in her cycling fundraising quest to help other children.
Thank you for reading and your support.
